Pupula Duplex is a Latin word which means 'double pupil'. It's a rare medical case where an individual has more than two Iris in one eye. It's also a form of genetic mutation rather than a hereditary traits. In medical terminology it is referred to as 'Polycoria', which means the existence of two Iris, cornea and pupil in the same eyeball.
This condition has never been specified in medical journal of any sorts, it is taken as mythological and sometimes portrayed as fiction in science literature.
There may be no medical record but there was a known myth of Liu Chung, a Chinese minister in the year 995 A.D. It was believed that he suffered a rare genetic mutation and as a result was born with two iris(es).
People with this condition will probably have better eye sight, focus and will be able to define reflections to the eyes better than those with the normal iris.
